Surat: Following the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, new opportunities are emerging for industrialists in alternative markets such as Canada, Africa and other developing countries. This was discussed at the session on “The Conflict in the Middle East and Emerging Opportunities in Alternative Markets” organised by the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) in Surat.
Ashok Jirawala, Vice President of the SGCCI said that in the changing perspective of global trade, the ongoing conflict in the Middle East is having a wide-ranging impact, which has become extremely important to understand and find new opportunities in the midst of it.
Alberta India Chamber of Commerce President Dr. Vandana Srivastava gave a detailed analysis of the ongoing geo-political conflict in the Middle East region and its impact on global trade. She said that in this situation, new opportunities are emerging for industrialists in alternative markets such as Canada, Africa and other developing countries. She gave guidance on new trade routes, policies and changes in global demand, so that industrialists can take advantage of this changing situation.
There is a great opportunity for Indian industrialists to strengthen their position in the international market through quality, innovation and production in line with global standards. Also, expansion at the global level can be possible through business alliances and strategic partnerships. New opportunities are emerging for Indian products in regions such as Canada, Africa, Latin America and South-East Asian countries. Indian industrialists can make a strong position in these markets through proper market research, quality and competitive prices.
Dr. Shrivastava added that India is getting a golden opportunity to emerge as a manufacturing hub amidst the ‘China Plus One’ strategy and the realignment of the global supply chain.
