New Delhi: During their tech comment battle Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella hit back at Elon Musk concerning Stargate project funding doubts. The infrastructure initiative launched by former President Donald Trump during his term brought together OpenAI and SoftBank and Oracle for the creation of a substantial AI (Artificial Intelligence) infrastructure project across the United States. The Stargate project will direct investments worth at least $500 billion between now and the next four years.
Using his X (formerly Twitter) account Musk addressed public doubts about Stargate funding. SoftBank which serves as a major participant in the project has accumulated less than $10 billion towards funding activities. Musk expressed doubts that led to a tense exchange when Nadella spoke.
😂 And all this money is not about hyping AI, but is about building useful things for the real world!

Nadella gave Microsoft’s full commitment by promising to invest $80 billion into its Azure cloud platform. Nadella declared Microsoft possesses all the capabilities to distribute OpenAI models worldwide. In a playful statement the executive said “I am good for my $80 billion” to showcase SoftBank’s high financial strength and commitment to converting AI capabilities into practical applications. The funds are not used purely for hype purposes because they will actually generate considerable beneficial impact according to Nadella’s understanding.
The Stargate project itself is a major collaboration: The financial aspect is led by SoftBank while OpenAI leads operations and tech giants including Arm, NVIDIA along with Oracle serve as collaborative partners through the project. CEO Sam Altman from OpenAI dismissed Musk’s concerns and extended an invitation to him for viewing the project’s ground operations.
This back-and-forth between Musk and Nadella states the growing competition in the field of AI.
