Muzaffarnagar, February 28: LISSUN, a mental wellness start-up, has announced the launch of its first offline centre in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, in the kind presence of the chief guest, Dr. Preeti Singh M.Phil (NIMHANS), PhD, Senior Clinical Psychologist, Chief Medical Officer, LISSUN. The LISSUN Experiential centre was launched at 218, Atreya Hospital, Sadar Bazaar, Muzaffarnagar. It is the first time a mental wellness start-up has gone phygital in Tier 2 to cater to the audience.
It follows the recent Tele mental Health initiative announced in the Union Budget 2022, wherein the government too has recognised the need to address the rising cases of mental illness in the country. LISSUN has identified the long-prevailing void for mental and emotional awareness in the real Bharat and has chosen Muzaffarnagar as the launchpad to mark its offline presence.
“Following my experience overseas, I could figure that mental wellness attains great significance across the globe. However, in India, it is still taboo. The whole idea behind LISSUN is to break the barriers and begin the conversation around mental wellness. Only when you acknowledge the challenge will you be able to take steps towards resolving it. Being born and brought up in Muzaffarnagar itself, understanding the big gap of mental health services in the city, when we decided to go phygital, we chose the city to mark the launch,” said Mr. Krishna Veer Singh- Co-founder & Director of LISSUN.
Mr. Tarun Gupta, Co-founder, LISSUN, added, “We have been putting all our efforts towards drawing attention to the grave subject of mental and emotional wellbeing. We recently organised a mental health awareness session alongside The Association of Physicians of India, Muzaffarnagar. Now with the launch of our first offline centre, we aim to encourage people to come forward and avail proper treatments, instead of suppressing the word.”
The session witnessed the presence of some eminent Doctors from the fraternity, including – Dr. Pankaj Jain, Dr. R B Singh, Dr. Saurabh Singh, Dr. Sunil Gupta, Dr. Pallav Jain, Dr. Ambar Tiwari, Dr. Arpan Jain, Dr. Rajveer Malik, Dr. Ravindra Singh, Dr. Girish Kumar, Dr. Kuldeep Chauhan, Dr. Anubhav Singhal, Dr. Vijay Jain among others.
Dr. Preeti Singh, Chief Medical Officer, LISSUN, further shared, “It is great to be a part of the new initiative at LISSUN. To penetrate deeper in tier 2 and tier 3 cities in India, digital alone would not have sufficed. Many people face the problem of access help, and on top of it, many are not even aware of the very existence of a solution. We truly believe to see a lot of lives getting changed for the better through this newly established channel by LISSUN.”
LISSUN has been moving to accomplish its vision to change the lives of millions of people and benefit them by providing psychological support in all aspects of their daily lives. The core team of the brand comprises alumni from IIT, IIM, ISB and NIMHANS. The platform has already reached over 3000 users and targets helping more than 20000 people by the end of fiscal 22-23.
