Infra Stocks Increase following Capital Spending Budget Push

New Delhi: The rise of infrastructure stocks was up to four percent following the government announcement of a massive capital expenditure plan of 12 lakh crore rupees in the Union Budget. The buying interest in companies such as L and T and Adani Ports was good.

The government will benefit road, port, rail and power infrastructure. This will bring about employment and stimulate the economy.

Analysts are of the opinion that infrastructure expenditure is long-term economic positive. It is also a lure to the private investment.

This had a positive response in the markets because the investors perceive growth opportunities in companies associated with infrastructure.
