India and Oman Sign a Very Big Business Deal

New Delhi: Countries of the world that are friends to India are very numerous and one such good friend is a state in Oman. The two countries recently signed a significant deal in the trade. This is a promise as long as possible and official that they will help one another grow. The experience of India and Oman is hundreds of years of trade, yet this new deal makes this trade even better. It is set to assist the businesses in the two countries to sell their products without necessarily being forced to pay excessive taxes or to wait long lines at the shipping ports.

We require much oil and gas to power our cars and factories in India. Oman has no shortage of such things. Conversely, Oman people are fond of Indian food, clothing and medicines. They also require assistance of Indian engineers and IT professionals. It is therefore a win-win situation where the two parties win. There is however a debate among some experts. A debate is the disagreement of opinions of people on something. Some claim that this is a great deal, whereas others think about the long term gains.

The concerned experts assert that we must ensure that we protect the Indian companies. They do not want too much foreign goods entering in and winning over our local farmers or small shops. However, the government argues that such an arrangement will bring about several new employment opportunities to young Indians. It will also ensure that India has a formidable ally in the Middle East region. This is an excellent illustration of the synergistic nature of “Geography” and “Economics” to the students. We can have our country more prosperous by befriending our neighbors on the other side of the sea.
