IIT Kharagpur Alumni Raised ₹508 Crore in AI Startup now under hate

New Delhi: The co-founders of Giga are Varun Vummadi and Esha Manideep, graduates of IIT Kharagpur, who co-founded a start-up that creates voice AI agents, intelligent systems capable of conversing, listening, and answering any questions posed by the customer in the manner in which human beings do. Their company recently secured a huge amount of money, 61 million dollars to be precise, in funding, something that is extremely huge when talking of any young company.

Their concept of Giga is not complex, to make voice-based customer service smarter and faster. Most of the companies are spending enormous sums of money on call centers and customer care. The AI agents of Giga are capable of answering customer calls in various languages, interpreting tonal and intent-based responses, and providing correct responses, similar to human trained agents. Company data, policies and transcripts can also be read by the system to reply to making the replies more personal.

The new $61 million will be used by the company to increase its staff, upscale its technology, and contact additional international clients in other sectors such as e-commerce, banking, and healthcare. They are already collaborating with already established companies and are regarded as one of the fastest-growing startups in voice AI globally.

Nevertheless, on the occasion when the founders released a short video of success, it went down the wrong way. Some individuals on social media started making comments on racism and their appearance as well as their accents instead of giving them compliments on their efforts. Others went as far as sayings such as, perhaps next time employ prettier individuals.

These remarks demonstrated that even in the modern world people may still be evaluated not by their thoughts and abilities, but by the appearance or the voice. The others did not take long to come to the defense of the founders by arguing that people ought not to be judged by looks and that the trolls were just envious of their success.

Varun and Esha remained composed and optimistic amid this negative reaction on the internet. They have not responded to trolls, but rather concentrated on their mission of transforming the customer service model. Their experience and concentration made them get more admiration among young entrepreneurs and professionals all over the world.

It is also an empowering story to several Indian students and dreamers because of their journey. They both quitted decent jobs and comfort zones to establish something better by themselves. Two years later, they managed to transform their idea into a rapidly expanding company with millions of dollars, which teaches them that being bold and having confidence is more important than anything.

The case is another significant fact, with success, there must be difficulties. The more you are seen the more opinions people will form about you. The success is not to fly too high and keep on building, regardless of what people think.
