New Delhi: HDFC Bank, a big player in banking, just opened a branch on Kavaratti Island in Lakshadweep, making it the only private bank there. The event was attended by important people like Captain Lovekesh Thakur and Dr. K.P. Muthukoya, along with HDFC Bank executives.
The bank plans to offer various services, especially digital banking like QR-based transactions, to the people there. Currently, HDFC Bank has over 8,000 branches and 20,000 ATMs across India, with more than half located in smaller towns and rural areas.
