Google Under Fire After New AI Tool Gives Wrong Answers

New Delhi: Google is under fire after its new AI-powered search tool started giving strange and incorrect answers to users around the world. This tool, designed to give quick and smart summaries, confused people with unusual suggestions and wrong facts. Many screenshots of these wrong answers went viral on social media, leading to a debate about whether Google rushed the feature.

Its AI tool was supposed to help users by giving short summaries at the top of the search results, but many times, the tool gave misleading information. For some users, it showed fake historical facts, while for others, it recommended unsafe or funny tips. Those responses quickly became memes online, embarrassing the company.

Experts say the AI models need much training and testing before they are released to the public. If they were to be launched too quickly, they could yield unexpected results. A few of the engineers who used to work at Google even said that the company needs to improve in terms of how it tests new technology before releasing it.

Google has recognised the issue and in a statement said that it is working on rectifying the errors. The company further said AI tools learn from the internet, which sometimes has wrong or confusing information.
