New Delhi: Google for Startups India, together with Scaler, has launched a new two-week online programme called “Startup School: Prompt to Prototype.” Running from November 27 to December 7, 2025, this program is specifically designed for early-stage startup founders interested in creating real AI products. It’s not just for very technical people; even founders who do not code deeply can take part.
In this course, participants will leverage Google’s AI tooling-including Gemini, Imagen, Veo, Nano Banana, NotebookLM, and the “AI Studio” environment-to build working AI prototypes. Sessions will include live online workshops, guided sessions, and mentorship with experts so founders can learn to design, research, and deploy their AI ideas.
The program culminates in a showcase, “Build the Future,” where participants can present their AI prototypes in January 2026. A select group of them will further receive continued mentorship from Google’s product and AI experts.
The big names supporting this initiative include MeitY Startup Hub, Startup India, India AI Mission, and NASSCOM. These partnerships thus indicate the interest of both the government and private sector in giving a fillip to AI innovation in India.
Why is this a big deal? Well, it turns out that most early-stage startups struggle to go from a simple idea to a working product. This program gives them a structured way to do that, access to powerful tools, and mentorship along the way. It democratizes AI, in the sense that not only can big companies build advanced AI products but so can smaller startups.
Of course, building an AI prototype in two weeks doesn’t guarantee success, after the programme, the founders will still need funding, a good team, and a good market. But this is a great launchpad. It gives them real hands-on experience and could lead to many new AI-based startups in India.
