The Economic Offences Wing has issued a look-out circular for the Malad Businessman Unnathan Arunachalam Aka Arunbhai who received Rs 40 crore from the India Cooperative Bank’s General Manager and heads of accounts Hitesh Mehta who was arrested in the Rs 122 crore scam. When this news came to the Mumbai Police they started a strict investigation about the money where that money came from and how it came to Arunbhai after this Mumbai Police Arrested Hitesh Mehta on Saturday, that Mumbai Police started investigating Hitesh Mehta that who had given banks fund to, he said that he gave Rs 40 crore to Arunbhai after this Mumbai Police go to Arunbhai’s Malawani Residence but he was no there after some questioning about why Hitesh Mehta gave this much money to Arunbhai and why.
Following the complaint filed by Devarsi Shishirkumar Ghosh, the acting chief accounting officer of India Cooperative Bank, the Dadar Police recorded an FIR in the case. After the FIR was registered, the Mumbai Police arrested Dharmesh Paun, the director of Om Sai Saburi and Dharmesh Realtors LLP. He was accused of taking a Rs 70 crore loan. Why? The police asked, but he denied it. After further investigation, Dharmesh denied all the allegations but is now also in custody.
According to Mumbai Police, Hitesh Mehta bought a falt from Paun in 2016, after some source police came to know that Mehta used to take cash from the office in a bag and then keep it in the car after this Mehta gave the cash to the neighbor, who was Paun’s employee and the after he gave to the builder. Mehta’s neighbor is the witness in this case. This was the way Mehta delivered the money to Paun at least 100 occasions Mehta gave money to Paun, and after this Mehta sold the flat and shifted to the new building.
After this much investigation, Mumbai Police asked what the nature of the deal of giving a Rs 70 crore loan to Paun, he said that Mehta wanted to buy a flat in Paun’s redevelopment project in Charkop, for which he sought the money. After the investigation, Mumbai Police wanted to find more details about the case so Hitesh Mehta and Paun are now also they are in custody.
