January 31: Eunimart, a Unified SAAS Platform Suite that powers Omnichannel Sales for Small to Medium Global Retail Brands, today released a report on how India sells and the performance at the global commerce front in 2021. The report revealed that the highest sales across borders have come from Delhi with a 27.53% contribution, followed by Gujrat at 15.38%, followed by Maharashtra and Rajasthan. The report revealed that the highest selling categories were home and decor, health and personal care, grocery, fashion, and jewellery.
The report also says that November-December were the best performing months with an increase of 20% in GMV compared to Q1 in 2021. The festive season with occasions like Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday, annual sales were a significant reason behind the success and peak of sales from Oct-Dec. The Great Indian Festival Sale was also a substantial push for sales on the domestic platforms.
Eunimart, a global commerce enabler start-up, also revealed that USA, UAE, Nepal & Singapore were among the top countries that saw the highest exchange of products from India in 2021.
Mr. Shayak Mazumder, CEO & Co-Founder, Eunimart, said, “The Covid-19 pandemic did have its early effects on the e-commerce sector. However, 2021 was all about pushing the limits. It is impressive to see that Indian companies have sold their products in a varied mix of countries, with a foray into Asia markets specifically. It is also exciting to witness an increased number of small and medium businesses adopt global commerce and expand their business both by size and geography.”
Eunimart raised $1,000,000 as part of its pre-Seed funding round from LetsVenture, 9Unicorns, Loyal VC, and Supply Chain Labs in April 2021. It takes the total funding raised by the start-up to $2.7 million. Eunimart had raised its Angel round last year, which saw participation from TMT Connekt, Loyal VC, Angelbay, SucSEED Ventures.
