The ETNOW.in Business Conclave & Awards 2025 was a grand gathering of some of India’s top business minds, policymakers, and industry leaders. Hosted by Times Network Digital, the event focused on India’s journey toward becoming a developed nation, or ‘Viksit Bharat.’ The discussions covered major industries, economic policies, and innovations that are shaping the country’s future.
India’s space dreams are taking off
The event kicked off with a keynote speech by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Science & Technology. He spoke with enthusiasm about India’s fast-growing space industry.
“In a short time, India has opened its space sector to private companies, attracting over ₹1,000 crore in investments. Our space economy is expected to grow five times bigger and reach $44 billion in the next ten years,” he said.
Dr. Singh highlighted key missions like Gaganyaan and how India is becoming a leader in space technology. “The world is now looking up to us,” he said proudly.
Tech laws need an upgrade
Former Union Minister and technology investor Rajeev Chandrasekhar brought attention to the outdated technology laws in India. He explained that the IT Act, which was made 25 years ago, does not even mention the Internet or artificial intelligence (AI).
“The digital world has changed a lot, and we need new rules that match today’s reality,” he said. Chandrasekhar believes that laws should support entrepreneurs instead of creating unnecessary obstacles.
“A new law should be simple, clear, and encourage innovation. We don’t need another complicated system that makes life harder for startups and businesses,” he added.
Stronger borders, better infrastructure
Lt. Gen. K. T. Parnaik (Retd.), the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, shared his experience in handling security challenges in the country’s border areas.
“In Kashmir, we worked hard to change people’s perception, and we succeeded in winning their trust,” he said. He also spoke about Arunachal Pradesh’s huge potential, with its natural resources and hydroelectric power of 58,000 MW.
“Developing infrastructure and improving security is important for progress. Since Arunachal shares borders with China and Myanmar, we must stay prepared and focused on growth,” he explained.
Honoring India’s brightest minds
The event wasn’t just about discussions, it was also about celebrating success. The awards ceremony recognized business leaders and innovators for their contributions to India’s economy. Winners were selected through a careful evaluation process by Tenfold, highlighting their impact on the country’s growth.
The future is bright:
The conclave left no doubt that India is on the correct trajectory. Space technology, digital policy, or national security, the nation is taking giant leaps. The leadership at the conference had one thing in common: India is well on its way to becoming a $5 trillion economy by 2030, and the journey has already started.
