Cummins India, Bank of Baroda shares drop. US Tariff War, Weaker lending environment blamed

New Delhi: At the end of the trading session, investors saw their Cummins India shares value drop 7% due to economic uncertainties in the US.

Jennifer Rumsey, CEO of Cummins Inc said, “due to growing economic uncertainty driven by tariffs we have withdrawn our full year forecast.”

“While the outlook for the remainder of the year remains unclear, we remain confident in our position and that our Destination Zero strategy is the right one,” she explained.

In India, the company expected a 10% rise in revenue, factoring in their unlisted entities as well, but the Trump administrations tariffs have dampened their expectations.

Bank of Baroda’s results missed analysts expectations on key metrics, even as the provisions for bad loans declined slightly. Profits after tax rose 3% year on year, but Net Interest Income dropped 7% during the same period last year.

This is the second biggest drop in BoB’s share value since the value dropped 16% on June 4, 2024.

The company has announced a dividend of Rs. 8.35 per equity share of face value Rs.2, subject to approval at their upcoming Annual General Meeting.
