Surat: Industrialists, traders, and investors from the diamond and textile city of Surat, along with stakeholders from South Gujarat, will gather under one roof at a special programme organised by the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) focusing on investment and global business opportunities in Botswana.
A high-level delegation from Botswana, led by senior government officials, will visit Surat on December 19 to explore business partnerships and investment avenues. The delegation includes Bogolo Joy Kenewendo, Minister for Minerals and Energy, Botswana, and Dr. Phenyo Butale, Minister for International Relations, Botswana.
SGCCI President Nikhil Madrasi said that the delegation will visit the SGCCI headquarters in Surat, and a special programme on investment and global business opportunities has been organised at the Platinum Hall, Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre (SIECC), Sarsana. Industrialists, traders, and investors from Surat and South Gujarat are expected to participate in large numbers.
Champalal Bothra, Co-Chairman of the Textile Trade and Retail Trade Committee of SGCCI and National Chairman – Textile and Garment Committee, CAIT, stated that the primary objective of the programme is to provide detailed insights into the vast opportunities available to Indian industrialists and investors across multiple sectors in Botswana. These include minerals, energy, textiles, diamond processing, agribusiness, and infrastructure.
He further added that Botswana is a politically stable and investment-friendly nation, making it an attractive gateway for industrialists from Surat and South Gujarat looking to expand into the African market.
SGCCI has appealed to all industrialists, traders, and investors from Surat and South Gujarat to attend this important international event in large numbers to explore global expansion opportunities.
