New Delhi: Blue Dart Express Limited changed the name of its recently upgraded service, which was earlier known as Dart Plus, to Bharat Dart on Wednesday. This announcement was made by Blue Dart in an exchange file. According to Blue Dart, the choice to rebrand one of its services to Bharat Dart was made after a protracted process of discovery and investigation.
As we continue to service customers across the nation, this rebranding symbolises an exciting shift for us, according to Blue Dart managing director Balfour Manuel.
The launch of Bharat Dart marks the beginning of a brand-new, exciting chapter for our business and our country. The firm continues to link Bharat to the world and the world to Bharat, and it is inviting all stakeholders to join it on this revolutionary path.
The business also noted in the filing that “Bharat Dart is a time-sensitive delivery service, backed by speed, security, and handling with value-added features and benefits like complete visibility on last mile through a robust system and easy payment options.”
In a release, it was stated that “Bharat Dart is poised to redefine express logistics in Bharat, offering unmatched speed, coverage, and support for businesses of all sizes.” Additionally, the business extended an invitation to all stakeholders and clients to participate in “this transformative journey as the company continues to connect Bharat to the world and the world to Bharat.”
With a global footprint spanning 220 nations and territories in addition to more than 55,000 outlets nationwide, Blue Dart has a significant footprint. A growing middle class and a thriving consumer culture are closely related to the expansion of these cities. Tier-II and tier-III cities made up 18.6% and 37.1%, respectively, of the total e-commerce market in FY 23, and it is anticipated that they will have an even greater impact in the future. For the quarter that ended on June 30, 2023, the firm reported a profit after tax of Rs 59.74 crores. Operational revenue for the same period was Rs 1,238 crores.
The price of Blue Dart Express Limited’s shares increased by 2.32 percent to Rs 6,768.00 in just one day of the announcement.
After Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s placard at the G20 summit’s opening referred to India as “Bharat,” leading to rumours of a name change to “Bharat,” the announcement was made a few days later. The pre-colonial names Bharat, Bharata, and Hindustan are other terms used to refer to India in Indian languages. These terms are used interchangeably by both the general public and the government. Modi presided over the opening of the G20 summit in New Delhi on Saturday from behind a table nameplate that said, “Bharat,” while the G20 logo featured the words “Bharat” and “India” in Hindi and English, respectively.
