BirlaNu Limited’s net profit rises 153% on the back of strong execution, operational efficiency

Hyderabad, August 06: Building materials provider BirlaNu (formerly HIL Limited) has reported a sharp 153% rise in net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 despite challenges with supply chain issues due to the conflict in the Middle East. Instead, the company has worked to sharpen its execution skills, boost its operational efficiencies and offer a reliable supply to its customers.

For the company, this has meant that its EBITDA has reached ₹98 crore, surging 71% year on year while its operating margins have grown 410 bps overall, led by its pipes and roofs business. In fact, its roofs segment has crossed the ₹500 crore mark in quarterly revenue, growing 17% year on year, while its panels and blocks segment has grown 14% driven by strong volume momentum.

“Amidst an intense geopolitical environment—headlined by the Middle East conflict’s impact on global supply chains—BirlaNu delivered a strong quarter of growth and profitability. This validates our multi-year efforts to sharpen execution, drive operational efficiency, and build deep brand salience,”  Akshat Seth, MD and CEO of BirlaNu, said in a press release to the bourses.

“While the year began positively, we remain watchful of imminent risk factors: persistent geopolitical uncertainty, volatile raw material, freight & currency markets, and rising labor costs. We will monitor the environment closely, remain agile, and execute with strict discipline to ensure sustained growth and profitability momentum,” he added.

Following the announcement, BirlaNu’s shares rose more than 9% to reach ₹1,535 a piece at 5PM on August 6. The stock has risen 14% in the past one month.
