Amravati: Andhra Pradesh’s CM N Chandrababu Naidu has credited his goverment’s reforms and the ‘Speed of Doing Business’ to capture a remarkable 25.3% of all proposed investments in the first nine months of the financial year 2025-26. The state, along with Odisha’s 13.1% and Maharashtra’s 12.8%, account for more than half of the total capital investments in India, according to data released by Bank of Baroda.
The total investment announcements to date in FY 2025-26 are at ₹26.6 lakh crore, an increase of 11.5% from the same period last year. Other states who received significant investment proposals include Telangana (9.5%), Gujarat (7.1%) and Tamil Nadu (4.9%).
“It reflects the impact of our forward-looking policy reforms, particularly the Speed of Doing Business initiatives, including the introducing the concept of an escrow-based mechanism for timely and transparent incentive distribution, as well as the introduction of clear, sector-specific policies,” the CM shared with a media report on the achievement.

Despite the challenging export environment, Andhra Pradesh has been able to attract various investments, especially catering to the data center demand. 2025 saw Reliance Industries commit to setting up a 1GW data center in the state, joining Google, Sify Technologies and Tillman Global Holdings.
The Andhra Pradesh government has been quite proactive in attracting investments, seen in the case of the proposed ₹1,720 crore footwear project from a South Korean company moving to Andhra after ditching earlier plans to set up in neighbouring Tamil Nadu.
State Minister for IT, Electronics and Communications, Nara Lokesh has upheld the state’s commitment to drive India’s next phase of industrial growth with a commitment to boost reforms, speed in decision making and fulfilling promises to investors.
