New Delhi: In a recent announcement by the Karnataka state government, it has been revealed that Air India, under the ownership of the Tata Group, along with Tata Advanced Systems, a manufacturer of airplane components, is planning to invest Rs 2,300 crore in the state. This investment initiative is expected to create employment opportunities for approximately 1,650 individuals.
According to the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the parties involved, Air India intends to establish a maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility at Bengaluru airport. Concurrently, Tata Advanced Systems will be establishing manufacturing and research & and development facilities within Karnataka. Notably, Tata Advanced Systems specializes in producing cargo and bulk cargo doors for Airbus’ A320neo family of aircraft.
