New Delhi: The accreditation will enable Adani Wind, the Adani Group’s manufacturing division of wind turbine generators, to begin series production for international markets.

The certification, which is provided by the IEC System for Certification to Criteria Relating to Equipment for Use in Renewable Energy Applications (IECRE), confirms that the 5.2 MW wind turbine generator produced by Adani Wind meets the highest quality and safety criteria.

The certification recognises Adani WTG’s compliance with the internationally recognised IEC 61400 series standards and regulations for design, testing, and manufacturing, in addition to affirming the highest quality and safety requirements.

The WTG prototype, which was erected in Mundra in Gujarat, was tested by the WindGuard. The 5.2 MW WTG was created by Adani Wind in association with the German company W2E Wind to Energy GmbH.

The type certificate confirms the excellence and dependability of our 5.2 MW WTG platform, which was created toWind energy reduce the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE). The accreditation helps us in our mission to establish India as a leader in the manufacture of renewable energy equipment. As nations prioritise developing effective and durable global supply chains, India has established itself as a reliable partner, according to Vineet Jain, Director of Adani New Industries Limited, reported by ANI.

We are committed to developing a line of high-yield next-generation wind turbines built in India and are One of the most effective onsite wind turbines in the nation, the 5.2 MW wind turbine produced by Adani Wind, has a rotor diameter of 160 metres, a swept area of 20,106 square metres, and a tip height of 200 metres. Prepared to meet the demand for wind energy on a worldwide scale, Jain continued. At its facility in Kutch, Gujarat, Adani Wind constructed the 5.2 MW WTG in partnership with W2E Wind to Energy GmbH, Germany.

The business also has a wind turbine generator (WTG) integrated manufacturing environment in Mundra, Gujarat. Adani Wind has the benefit of efficiently and economically serving both domestic and international markets thanks to the proximity of the blade manufacturing facility and the nacelle and hub assembly facility near Mundra port.
