New Delhi: A great show Swar Dhaorhar Festival took place in Jhansi with the collaboration of ASI and CultureMinsitry, marking the final destination of the 75th Azadi ka Amrti Mahotsav celebration with Qila Aur Kahania. It was a massive event, attended by thousands of enthusiastic people who loved the concept and celebrated Indian culture with the Swar Dharohar Foundation. On the 17th of June, the music performances featured Zaina Khan, Padma Shri Ustad Gulfam Ahmed (Rabab), Hamsar Hyatt and Athar Hyatt (Sufi Brothers), and Salman Zaman (Sufi Rock Band). On the 19th of June, despite heavy rainfall, a splendid poetry show was organized, showcasing brilliant crisis management by the SwarDhaorhar team and local event partner Vasfame Entertainment.
Resulting in a resounding success.
The Swar Dharohar series of music and multilingual poetry started at India Gate in Delhi at the end of April ’23. The participating artists included Fareed Hassan (Bandith Bandish) and Altamash Faridi (Bollywood) in music, Hussoan Sabri (Qawwal) and the renowned Deepak Pandit (violinist). Notable poets such as Waseem Barelvi, Surender Sharma, Arun Gemini, and more also graced the event.
After Delhi, the Swar Dharohar Festival moved to Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, featuring music performances by the Manthan band and Padma Shri Ustad Gulfam Ahmed, along with poets from across the country.
Another extraordinary show took place at Ramnagar Fort in Jammu and Kashmir for the Swar Dharohar Festival, featuring the fusion band Swaraag and the Rabab instrument.
In Telangana, a grand show was organized at Golconda Fort to celebrate Telangana Divas, with performances by India’s biggest star, Shankar Mahadevan, and multilingual poetry.”
