Mumbai: India’s leading paints company Asian Paints declared a 43% rise in net profit to ₹994 crore from ₹ 694.6 crore last year. The company has witnessed a strong demand over the years, with its decorative paints segments continuing to outperform, while its emerging home decor and industrial coatings verticals also posting healthy growth numbers. The company’s revenues from operations grew modestly by 6.4% from ₹8,003 crore to ₹ 8,513 crore in the same quarter last year, even as modest price hikes affected margins. Hyderabad: Generic pharma company Natco Pharma has announced the acquisition of a 35.75% stake in South Africa’s Adcock Ingram Holdings Ltd (AIHL) for $226 million (about ₹2,000 crore), giving the company a wider reach to expand into the African pharmaceutical market. Following this transaction, AHIL has delisted from the Johannesburg Stock Exchange(JSE). This deal, which was cleared by Natco’s shareholders earlier this month, included an offer for ZAR 75 per share, representing an 8% premium to Adcock’s fair value. Mumbai: Veterinary vaccine manufacturer Hester Biosciences reported a 71% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to ₹14.33 crore for the quarter ended September 2025, despite a 15% decline in revenues to ₹70.96 crore. Operational challenges in its subsidiaries in Nepal and Africa have been the biggest drag on the company’s financials.
