London: Despite checks and balances in place, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has moved about $1 billion in cryptocurrencies over the past two years, according to a report by blockchain intelligence firm TRM Labs. According to the report, the IRGC, Iran’s leading security and military organisation, skirted the wide-ranging sanctions against it to transfer funds via Tether (USDT) to entities affiliated with it. Pune: Defence Manufacturing company Nibe Limited’s subsidiary Nibe Defence and Aerospace Limited (NDAL) has received a license from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to manufacture firearm components, firearms and rifles for the military in particular. This extends Nibe’s capabilities, as it already manufactures assault rifles and small machine guns in partnership with foreign OEMs. In a regulatory filing on January 10, Nibe announced its receipt of the license, under the Arms Act, 1959 and the Arms Rules, 2016. New Delhi: Almost 73% of India’s total fertilizer demand was met with domestic production in 2025, the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers said. Domestic production of fertilizers have reached a record high in 2025, reaching 524.62 lakh tonnes, even as urea imports more than doubled to 7.17 million tonnes in FY25 due to a decline in domestic production.
