New Delhi, August 31: Leading Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) Piramal Finance Limited has announced a capital raise of ₹3,850 crore through a preferential warrant issue and QIP as it looks to strengthen its balance sheet and capital base for expanding its retail and small business lending operations. The company will be allotting 99,52,606 shares to leading institutional investors who participated in its Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP) between August 24 and 28, 2026. Coimbatore, August 29: Leading air compressor manufacturer Elgi Equipments Limited has received an additional tax refund of $1.55 million (about Rs.13 crore) from the US Customs and Border Protection. This comes as a follow up to a $2.68 million refund received in July 2026, taking the total refund from the US authorities to $4.23 million after the company received a favourable US Supreme Court ruling to refund tariffs on imported industrial goods.  For the company, this income would be considered an exceptional income gain, expanding its operating cash flows and reinforcing its balance sheet. New Delhi, August 29: Real estate developer Max Estates Limited has announced its entry in the lucrative Delhi NCR market by acquiring a 84 acre land parcel in Najafgarh, Delhi via a preferential share swap agreement. Mumbai, August 28: Thermal engineering and sensor manufacturer Tempsens Instruments (India) Limited, has made a blockbuster debut on the Indian stock exchanges, with its shares listing at an impressive 111.33% premium over its issue price of ₹300/share.  The IPO, which ran between August 20 and 24, saw heavy demand from investors, with the issue being oversubscribed 184.07 times overall. New Delhi, August 28: India’s tablet market has grown 15% year on year in the first half of 2026, with the market preferring premium, higher spec tablets to complement productivity, education and content creation, a report by CyberMedia Research (CMR) said. Premium tablets now command 89% of the total market volume, even as manufacturers have raised prices due to supply chain constraints. Gongju, South Korea, August 28: Specialty chemical manufacturer Acutaas Chemicals Limited has commissioned a new semiconductor-grade materials plant in Gongju, South Korea through its step-down subsidiary Indichem. New Delhi, August 27: FMCG major Dabur India Limited has clarified that its manufacturing operations and primary distribution infrastructure in Nepal remain fully functional following recent flash floods along the Tibet–Nepal border. This comes after severe flooding triggered by a glacial breakdown near the Gyirong Port crossing point. Bengaluru, August 27: Mid-cap IT service firm Happiest Minds Technologies Limited’s shares fell 6% today after market reports speculated that ITC Infotech is exploring a potential acquisition of Founder-CEO Ashok Soota’s 44% stake in the company. Mumbai, August 27: Former Zee Media baron and Essel Group Founder Subhash Chandra is a lucky man.
