New Delhi, September 30: Telecom infrastructure giant Indus Towers Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Replus Engitech Private Limited, a subsidiary of HEG Advanced Materials Limited, for securing dedicated Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) production capacity for its telecom infrastructure.
Under the agreement, Replus Engitech will allocate a dedicated manufacturing output of 1.5 GWh to supply advanced battery energy storage solutions tailored specifically for Indus Towers’ nationwide telecom network.
This comes at a time when conventional diesel generators have become highly expensive, especially for remote areas, and BESS solutions offer a reliable solution that ensures an uninterrupted and reliable electricity supply to its telecom infrastructure. This collaboration builds on an earlier supply contract worth Rs.217.56 crore awarded by Indus Towers to Replus for lithion ion battery bank supplies, aimed for completion by March 2027.
