Indian tech companies raise $10.3 billion in 2026 to date, with enterprise applications, FinTech and Enterprise Infrastructure ruling: Tracxn report

New Delhi, September 28: India’s tech companies have raised $10.3 billion in the first nine months of 2026, with enterprise applications, Fintechs and enterprise infrastructure dominating the landscape, a report by Tracxn revealed.

This is a 7% increase from the same period last year, and 3% above the $10 billion raised in the first nine months of 2024, as the number of funding rounds, first time funded companies and soonicorn investments have declined sharply. This year, Enterprise Applications, FinTech, and Enterprise Infrastructure sectors have witnessed 18 rounds of investments above $100 million or more, highlighted by  Nxtra’s $1B private-equity round for data-centre expansion.

Investors are increasingly moving toward proven convictions for revenue realisations, while staying away from risky bets on early stage funding, as reflected by seed funding falling by 37% to $698 million, as deals move towards fewer higher-conviction bets.

Overall, Enterprise Infrastructure remained the fastest-growing sector year to date, with funding reaching $1.6 billion, a 436% YoY increase, followed by a 49% rise for enterprise applications to $3.5 billion and a 13% rise to $2.2 billion for Fintechs.

During the first nine months of 2026, the Indian capital markets saw 29 IPOs, with Fractal Analytics’ $1.7 billion fundraise and Molbio Diagnostics’ $973 million being the most notable.

The average time from the first funding to the IPO fell to 8.5 years from 13.7 years, with Bengaluru retaining its status as the dominant financial hub, capturing 43% of all investments, with Mumbai close behind at an 18% share and Guruguram’s $1.6 billion, mostly from Nxtra’s fundraise.
