18 Surat Entrepreneurs Shine in Hurun India Rich List 2026

Surat: Surat has once again proven itself as one of the top hubs for entrepreneurship and wealth creation in India, with 18 entrepreneurs and business families making it to the Hurun India Rich List 2026.

The city’s presence spans various industries, including Green Energy, Chemicals, Financial Services, Jewellery, and Textiles, showcasing Surat’s growing influence beyond its traditional industries. India also holds the world’s third highest number of billionaires with 308 individuals, according to Hurun’s latest report, highlighting the country’s growing wealth creation.

Farukbhai Gulambhai Patel, Chairman of KPI Green Energy, leads the Surat contingent, securing Rank 188 with an estimated wealth of ₹19,500 crore.

He is followed by Ashwin Desai & Family of Aether Industries, ranked 202 with ₹18,200 crore. Nirajbhai Choksi of NJ India Invest ranked 407 with an estimated wealth of ₹9,100 crore, making him one of the leading names in the city’s financial services sector, the rankings are based on the uploaded Hurun India Rich List.

Surat’s growing renewable energy sector continued to impress in this year’s rankings. Ishverbhai Dholakiya & Family of Goldi Solar secured Rank 589 with an estimated wealth of ₹5,700 crore. Chirag Nakrani & Family and Hardik Kothiya & Family, both associated with Rayzon Solar, each have an estimated wealth of ₹4,200 crore and are jointly ranked 747

The chemicals sector also recorded a strong presence. Nareshkumar Ramjibhai Patel of Acutaas Chemicals ranked 640 with an estimated wealth of ₹5,000 crore, while Chetankumar Chhaganlal Vaghasia, also of Acutaas Chemicals, ranked 735 with an estimated wealth of ₹4,300 crore

Anand Sureshbhai Desai & Family of Anupam Rasayan India also featured at Rank 747 with a wealth of ₹4,200 crore, reflecting Surat’s growing importance in the speciality chemicals industry.

As always, Surat’s diamond and jewellery industry once again dominated the city’s representation in the rankings. Govindbhai Laljibhai Dholakia & Family of Shree Ramkrishna Exports ranked 723 with an estimated wealth of ₹4,400 crore. Laljibhai Tulsibhai Patel & Family of Dharmanandan Diamonds also shared Rank 747 with ₹4,200 crore. Babu Lakhani & Family of Kiran Gems ranked 792 with an estimated wealth of ₹3,900 crore, while Vashrambhai Bhurabhai Narola & Family of Shree Ramkrishna Exports secured Rank 1054 with ₹2,500 crore.

Vallabhbhai Laljibhai Kakadia & Family and Ravjibhai Laljibhai Kakadia & Family of Sheetal Manufacturing are jointly ranked 1232 with an estimated wealth of ₹1,900 crore each, followed by Sanjaykumar Hastimal Jain of SK Jewellers, who features on the list with an estimated wealth of ₹1,800 crore

The textile industry was also represented by Dinesh Jayramdas Dhankani & Family of Reaghan Fashions, ranked 912 with a wealth of ₹3,200 crore. Mavuri Venkata Ramana of CMR Textiles & Jewellers also featured on the list with an estimated wealth of ₹2,100 crore, securing Rank 1173.

With representation across both established and emerging industries, Surat continues to strengthen its position as one of India’s most dynamic business cities.
