Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei’s Wife Cami Clark linked to Epstein Files over past business pitch

New Delhi: Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei’s wife, Cami Clark, has once again gotten her name in the news this month, after emails from her to Epstein, released as part of the Jeffrey Epstein files, reveal that she once sought his help with a business idea.

Clark apparently initiated contact with Epstein over 10 years ago, as part of the work he did on a firm named Eddice, a Wall Street Journal report based on the documents states. The company was called the “luxury porn” company for women. Clark and her business partner, Michelle Capocefalo, were reportedly looking for investors to help develop the company.

Epstein met with Clark in 2011 via literary agent John Brockman. The emails reveal that she met with Epstein and had a discussion about business plans and provided information about the project. But in the end, Epstein didn’t invest in the project. Some reports state that he has been uncomfortable with the business concept.

The emails have been talked about mainly because of Clark’s present affiliation with one of the largest names in the art of intelligence in the field. She is the wife of Dario Amodei, the CEO & Co-Founder of Anthropic, the company that created Claude AI Chatbot.

It is not known if Clark herself holds an official position at Anthropic. But some recent reporting, however, has her as a close adviser and sounding board for Amodei. She has reportedly participated in networking and has been connected to influential people in the sectors of technology and investment.

She has also worked in the business sector in women’s health technology. Later on, Clark reportedly abandoned the adult entertainment venture and got himself into women health and tech endeavors.

The renewed focus is not to imply that Amodei had anything to do with earlier conflicts between Clark and Epstein. The reports are about Clark’s business and letters from over 10 years ago. The reports don’t even hint at Epstein investing in the Eddice project.

Clark’s role around Anthropic and her connections with Silicon Valley’s influential business circles have sparked the interest focused on the story. Her friendships have drawn the attention of her relationship with ex-Google CEO Eric Schmidt, who is now an early investor in Anthropic.

These now resurfaced emails add to the slew of pre-existing connections that documents from the Epstein files have surfaced in recent years. But for Anthropic and Dario Amodei, their emphasis is still on the firm’s artificial intelligence efforts, and issues arising from Clark’s past business relationships and influence have now come to the fore.
