New Delhi: Mark Zuckerberg is best known as the founder and CEO of Meta, but away from Facebook, Instagram and artificial intelligence, his life has increasingly attracted attention for another reason: his transformation into a serious fitness and combat-sports enthusiast.
Priscilla Chan is a pediatrician and philanthropist, Zuckerberg’s wife. The two were college buddies and they wed in 2012. They have three daughters together, called Maxima (Max), August and Aurelia.
Zuckerberg is probably one of the world’s most widely recognized billionaires, but the couple’s children have typically not been surrounded by too much public attention. The family is not as traditional a celebrity family, as they do share moments together online on and off.
Outside of Meta, Zuckerberg is also a big fan of Chan. Together, they are the chief architects of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, a fund dedicated to areas such as science and health and education.
Zuckerberg has been focused on fitness and martial arts in his personal life in recent years.
The CEO of Meta himself has been trained in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, grappling and striking and he has been open on the benefits of exercise in relation to stress management. In an interview with Thinman for his 2025 website, Zuckerberg reported that he was trying to train in the morning, and that he summerized between general fitness and various kinds of MMA training.
His fascination deepened to the point that he tried to conceal his identity and entered a jiu-jitsu competition. He was wearing a mask, a hat and sunglasses and had registered under his first and middle name. Eventually he played under his true name and won his fight.
There have been some risks involved with the training. Zuckerberg has been a victim of an ACL injury during training in the past. Later on he admitted that he was overdoing it and had to get better at pairing strength training with combat sports.
His living fashions also provide an illustration to the immense riches generated by Meta. Zuckerberg has private aircraft, super yachts, luxury homes, and a lot of security and luxury cars. He’s certainly not the same person wearing a hooded sweatshirt when he was involved with the early days of Facebook.
