New Delhi: Vivo has officially launched the Vivo S2 in India, marking the return of its S series smartphone line-up, after some time. The smartphone’s focus is going to be a high-spec design, big battery capacity and a snappy display – all features which make it an interesting premium mid-range contender.
The Vivo S2 features with a 6.83-inch 3D Curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling experience. The higher refresh rate should make it smoother to scroll, animate and play. The phone also has a punch-hole shaped cut out for the front camera.
Vivo S2’s is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset for better gaming performance. It coupled with a 8GB of RAM and is offered with up to 256GB of internal storage. The processor has been tested to score between 970,000 on the Antutu test, according to Vivo, meaning the phone will not be too slow for regular users or gamers.
The battery is undoubtedly one of the standout features of the Vivo S2. The smartphone comes with a massive 7,050mAh battery and 44W fast charging. This should significantly aid the phone’s longevity from a single charge, particularly for those who consume a great deal of video, video games or social media.
The Vivo S2 has a 50MP Sony IMX582 main camera sensor, and a 2MP sensor, for photography. It features a 32 MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls on the front. The mobile has also been given OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.
The Vivo S2 will going to available range of colours with Silk White, Sapphire Blue and Regal Bronze. In India, the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model is priced at ₹39,999, while the 8GB + 256GB version costs ₹44,999.
Vivo has also announced that the sale of its phones will go on sale from starting August 11 on Vivo’s official website and on e-commerce platform like Flipkart, Amazon and its network.
