By operating on Google’s cloud infrastructure, Spark performs multi-step tasks asynchronously, continuing to run even when the user’s device is closed or locked.
It is powered by the Gemini 3.6 Flash model; Gemini Spark marks a shift from reactive query-based interactions to proactive background execution. The system also integrates natively with Google Workspace apps by including Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Sheets without requiring setup or manual configuration. Operators can operate directly on the secure cloud infrastructure by enabling scheduled and trigger-based tasks to execute independently of active device sessions.
