Bengaluru: The first edition of Eco Kranti’s Shubh Labh 1.0 National Summit witnessed an overwhelming response, receiving over 900 applications from across India. More than 250 startups, researchers, and innovators participated in the two-day sustainability and social innovation conclave, with 30+ startups shortlisted for the Shubh Labh cohort.
Organised by Eco Kranti, an initiative of the Sri Sri Rural Development Programme (SSRDP), in collaboration with Startup India and the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), the summit was held on July 18–19 at The Art of Living International Centre, Bengaluru.
The event brought together entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, researchers, and industry experts to promote sustainable and climate-positive innovations from across the country.
Speaking at the summit, Devang Vora, Founder of Eco Kranti and Director of SSRDP, said, “Shubh Labh is SSRDP Eco Kranti’s flagship innovation, incubation, and acceleration platform. Our goal is to support at least 1,000 high-impact startups by 2030 across sustainability, rural development, climate action, the circular economy, agritech, waste management, clean technologies, and social innovation.
“We aim to discover, mentor, fund, and scale purpose-driven enterprises from villages, rural India, and semi-urban communities, helping transform local challenges into globally scalable solutions while building a sustainable future.”
The summit focused on key sectors such as climate technology, circular economy, waste management, green manufacturing, sustainable consumer products, and rural innovation. It featured startup pitch sessions, investor meetings, mentorship programmes, and panel discussions designed to strengthen India’s growing impact entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Leading investors and ecosystem leaders, including Utpal Doshi (Ignition Capital), Ravin Bhadja (Find Me Factory), Kedar Pandya (Wadhwani Foundation), and Ravi Ranjan (Velocity 1, Dubai), participated as jury members, mentors, and investors for the Shubh Labh cohort. India Accelerator, Institution’s Innovation Council, Future Age, Finvolve, and MotionGility were among the ecosystem partners supporting the event.
Devang Vora further added, “With the blessings of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji, we believe meaningful change begins at the grassroots. Through Shubh Labh, we aspire to nurture 1,000 impact startups by 2030 that will contribute to rural development, sustainability, and India’s transition towards a circular economy.”
The summit also showcased the progress of the Eco Kranti movement. Over the past two years, the initiative has reached more than 10,000 households and helped prevent nearly 200 tonnes of single-use plastic waste. Over the next two years, Eco Kranti aims to expand its reach to 10 lakh households while preventing 1,000 tonnes of single-use plastic waste.
Through the Shubh Labh platform, Eco Kranti aims to build a nationwide ecosystem that identifies, mentors, funds, and scales impact-driven startups focused on sustainability and rural development, creating solutions for Bharat while delivering measurable social, environmental, and economic impact.
