New Delhi: Garmin has unveiled the new CIRQA Smart Band, a track-free fitness wear that lets users who prefer to track health data without a screen apart from the band. The CIRQA is not a traditional smartwatch; it’s about health and fitness and provides all its information through Garmin Connect app. The Company also announced that the device wasn’t subscription-based, adding an appealing element to the proposition for those that intend to steer clear of recurring charges.
The Garmin CIRQA is extremely light, comfortable, and will stay in place for all day either on a wristband or an upper armband. It can provide up to 10 days of battery life with a single charge, enabling consumers to wear it throughout the day without having to charge it regularly. Their minimalist design is geared toward individuals seeking an easy or basic fitness tracker instead of a packed, feature-rich smartwatch.
The CIRQA is loaded with many high-tech health sensors but without a screen. It keeps on tracking and monitoring HR, blood oxygen (SpO2), skin temperature, stress, and Body Battery energy level all day long. The smart band also offers detailed sleep analysis including sleep stages, breathing patterns, heart rate during sleep phases, naps, and of course an overall sleep score to better understand sleep and recovery.
The CIRQA has over 80 sports and workout modes according to Garmin. Activities can be started and managed with the Garmin Connect app and the physical button on the device. The tracker also offers valuable information like training readiness, workout effectiveness, recovery time, and approximate VO2 Max so that the user can boost his fitness over time.
The smart band is equipped with female health functionalities also! It can track menstrual cycles and pregnancy health information with the help of skin temperature. Garmin has also introduced new additions, such as Jet Lag Adviser and LiveTrack, which allow someone to share where they are going when they are exercising outdoors using a connected smartphone and GPS.
One of the most exciting aspects of the CIRQA is that all of the health insights are free and accessible without a paid subscription. This will put Garmin in a better position than a number of competing fitness wearables, which require paid monthly subscriptions to get access to advanced analytics. After connecting with a smartphone, the company claims that users will be able to get detailed information about their health right from the Garmin Connect app.
The cool Garmin CIRQA Smart Band is $199.99 (approximately ₹17,300) in the USA. It will come in several colors, with two size selections. Though Garmin has stated that it will be offered globally, specifics around its release in India haven’t been disclosed yet.
