New Delhi: Poco has recently teased its upcoming latest device globally. Poco has teased its latest Poco X8 to come with a massive battery pack. However, if we discuss the previous Poco X7, it comes with a slightly bigger 5,500mAh battery.
And now it is expected that Poco X8 might come with a 6,500mAh battery pack. It actually means around 18% larger than the Poco X7. Poco X8 is reported to be a rebranded version of the upcoming Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G, following Xiaomi’s usual strategy of debuting Redmi devices globally under the Poco brand.
Several leaks indicate the device is intended for the global markets, unlike several Redmi models that remain China-exclusive. Certification activity and Xiaomi’s debut strategy suggest a worldwide release is expected. It is likely to feature a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Out of the box, it is expected to feature a HyperOS based on Android 16. In terms of the camera, it is expected to feature a dual camera setup.
It is likely to aim the upper mid-range segment, sitting below the already introduced Poco X8 Pro, which sports a more powerful chipset and premium specs. Xiaomi appears to be differentiating the standard model mainly via battery life and pricing. The device has been surfaced via early leaks, but Xiaomi has not announced an official debut date.
