Honor Robot Phone moves closer to launch with certification approval

New Delhi: Honor’s upcoming most anticipated Robot Phone has recently cleared both China’s MIIT and 3C certification, suggesting that the device is entering the final stages before its debut. This device carries the model number APH-AN00. However, the MIIT doesn’t reveal specs; the 3D listing confirms support for 120W wired fast charging by placing it among Honor’s fastest-charging flagship phones.

Multiple sources and reports indicate Honor will officially debut its Robot Phone in China in August 2026. Honor had already confirmed a Q3 2026 release window after previewing the device earlier this year, making an August unveil highly expected. It might feature a 6.4-inch flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution. It comes with ultra-slim bezels on all four sides. It is going to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 coupled with a huge 6,000mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging. It is also expected to come with the latest MagicOS based on Android.

The camera could be the biggest highlight of the Robot Phone, which is expected to focus heavily on photography and videography. It is expected to include a 200MP main camera with an f/1.6 aperture, 23mm focal length, and 4DoF gimbal stabilization. A 50MP ultra-wide camera coupled with a 200MP periscope telephoto camera sensor. Honor’s latest Ailai imaging technology. Honor’s Robot Phone features a motorized camera module with what Honor calls the industry’s smallest 4DoF gimbal system.

Honor is positioning the Robot Phone as a cinematic camera phone. It was officially confirmed to feature a partnership with ARRI, the professional cinema camera brand. Native ARRI LogC support, RAW-level image pipeline. It also features compatibility with DaVinci Resolve LUT workflows.
