New Delhi: Nubia has officially released its latest pair of wired earbuds under its Red Magic gaming brand in China. It is called a Gaming Headset, and they are priced at 89 yuan (roughly Rs 1,240). Nubia is currently offering two separate versions: one with the standard 3.5mm headphone jack and another with a USB-C connector.
This is a logical split, by offering the users an option whether they are plugging into an older laptop or a modern smartphone that doesn’t have a headphone jack.
These earbuds use 14.2mm dynamic drivers. These earbuds have a frequency response range of 20Hz to 20kHz and a rated power output of 5mW. These are branded specially for gaming. Nubia states that the audio is tuned to help the players hear specific in-game audio cues.
Nubia went with the semi-in-ear shape instead of using silicone tips that seal off the ear canal. This style usually works well for people who find the standard in-ear monitors uncomfortable during long gaming or listening sessions.
Attached to the cable is the standard three-button inline remote. It includes a built-in microphone for voice chats and phone calls. The buttons cover the usual everyday functions like users can adjust the volume, play or pause music, skip tracks, answer or reject calls, and trigger their device’s voice assistant without having to touch their screen.
