Meta’s Forum app could change how Facebook Groups interact

New Delhi: Meta has recently introduced its latest standalone mobile application, which is called Forum. This application is actually built around Facebook Groups and community conversations and aims more on discussions, recommendations, and question-based interactions rather than a traditional social media feed similar to Reddit.

Forum is a dedicated space built for deeper discussions, real answers, and the communities users care about.

The application is designed for users who actively participate in Facebook Groups and want a separate space centred around conversations. Meta has also added that the Forum is connected to existing Facebook Groups, by which the users can continue interacting with the same communities while using a dedicated application experience.

This application is currently available only in select regions, including the US; Meta added several features that might vary depending on the user’s location. This application also appears to be currently limited to iOS devices, with the Android version expected on the way.

Forum requires an iPhone running iOS 18 or later and is rated for users aged 13 and above. Forum is specially designed as a separate space aimed mainly at Facebook Groups conversations. The application keeps groups connected to Facebook, which means anything shared via Forum will also remain visible inside the original Facebook Groups.
