New Delhi: Amazon has recently introduced its latest Amazon Fire TV Stick HD in India with support for HDR10+ viewing, Wi-Fi 6, and the redesigned Fire TV interface. This latest streaming stick also brings Xbox cloud gaming support to Fire TV HD devices for the first time, enabling users to stream games without a console.
Amazon also promises that the latest Fire TV Stick HD delivers over 30% faster performance and is the slimmest compared to the previous HD generation. It is priced at Rs 4,999, and the latest Fire TV Stick HD is available through e-commerce platforms Amazon, Blinkit, and Flipkart, and it will also going to be available via offline retail stores soon.
Fire TV Stick HD also provides now more faster application launches and smoother navigation compared to the older generation. The streaming device also supports 1080p Full HD playback with HDR10+, and includes Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity for improved streaming stability.
They have also unveiled the redesigned Fire TV interface that aims for quicker navigation and better organization. This latest layout separates content into dedicated categories such as movies, TV Shows, free content, and live TV.
The interface also offers to the users with the quick access to the smart home controls by enabling them to manage other Alexa-compatible devices such as lights, fans, ACs, and geysers directly from the TV screen. This device can be powered directly via the TV’s USB port, reducing the need for an additional wall adapter and helping to create a cleaner setup behind the television.
Fire TV Stick HD supports streaming applications including Prime Video, Netflix, JioHotstar, YouTube, and Zee5. Users can also access the free and ad-supported content, including live sports and news channels. It also includes an Alexa Voice Remote, which enables users to search and unveil content using voice commands.
Xbox cloud gaming via the Xbox applications: by connecting a compatible Bluetooth controller, users can also stream cloud-allowed Xbox games directly on the Fire TV Stick HD without owning a console. This feature also requires an Xbox Game Pass subscription. Amazon also upgraded its Fire TV mobile applications in India with a redesigned interface and remote streaming controls for connected Fire TV devices.
