Mumbai: In an industry where the risks of failure are high, Suved Lohia, the man behind Suved Lohia Hospitality (SLH), has proved to be a leader in the space. Starting in 2019 as a lean hospitality venture, it has rapidly evolved into a fast-scaling, multi-vertical ecosystem operating at the intersection of dining, nightlife, technology, and culture.
A Journey Built on Atmosphere and Instinct
Lohia’s professional journey began in 2001, cutting his teeth in the management of iconic South Bombay institutions like Red Light and Squeeze. These early years provided a grassroots understanding of operations and the “art of building an atmosphere” that would later define his work under SLH.
Lohia has, so far, launched a series of high-profile ventures in Mumbai including:
- Or-g: Revamped from the club Rehab to become a suburban staple.
- Villa 69: Celebrated for its spacious design and curated events.
- Barrel & Co: A nightlife powerhouse that amassed a massive database within months of opening.
- Specialty Eateries: Including the Thai-focused LMNOPQ and coastal-inspired Curry Tales.
The Power of Strategic Collaboration
Besides that, SLH is also collaborating with over 100 brands, including celebrity ones like
- one8 Commune with Virat Kohli (Pan-India).
- Neuma with Karan Johar.
- The Nines, Game Palacio, and Milagro.
“It takes a village to raise a child,” Suved says as he talks about his work ethic.
“We are in the business of delivering joy. People place their trust in you to create memorable moments and create connections over a lifetime. I am committed to delivering excellence that is the labour of love, that very brainchild that defines my purpose & resonates with my people. The spirit of ‘Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish’ will continue to guide me & define my existence.”
