New Delhi: Kawasaki Vulcan S has been launched in India for the year 2026 at an ex-showroom price of Rs 8.13 lakh. The update keeps the Vulcan S mechanically familiar while bringing it in line with the current emission requirements. Kawasaki continues to position the Vulcan S as an accessible mid-size cruiser, which is aimed at riders looking for relaxed ergonomics, manageable performance, as well as everyday usability rather than outright displacement or heavyweight cruiser proportions. The motorcycle is imported as an entirely built unit and will be sold through Kawasaki’s authorised dealerships across India.
The Vulcan S becomes the E20 fuel-compliant, aligning it with India’s ethanol-blended petrol mandate. The earlier Pearl Matte Sage Green paint used on the older version has been dropped in favour of a Metallic Flat Spark Black finish. Compared to the outgoing bold green shade, the latest option offers a darker, more muted appearance. Apart from regulatory and colour options, Kawasaki has retained the motorcycle’s core mechanical package. The overall design, dimensions, and feature set remain unchanged, ensuring continuity for buyers familiar with the model.
Powering the Vulcan S is a 649cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine paired with the six-speed gearbox. The motor is tuned for strong low and mid-range torque, which suits relaxed cruising and urban riding conditions. The power and torque figures stand at 60.16hp and 61Nm. Kawasaki’s focus with the Vulcan S continues to be smooth power delivery and rider-friendly performance rather than aggressive acceleration or high-revving character. The motorcycle uses telescopic front forks and rear monoshock suspension setup, tuned for comfort over sharp handling. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends, supported by dual-channel ABS as standard. The chassis setup prioritises stability and ease of control over sporty cornering performance. It gets an LCD instrument cluster that displays essential driving information.
