New Delhi: After many rumors and leaks, Meta has officially announced their latest unveils in wearable technology, the Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses and the companion Meta Neural Band as part of its Connect event, which was tomorrow, where they have confirmed their latest wearable technology in front of the users. This Ray-Ban Display marks Meta’s first pair of AI glasses, which are equipped with a full-colour, high-resolution lens display. The glasses also allow users to check messages, preview photos, or interact with the AI prompts without looking down at a phone.

The display is especially designed for the short, glanceable interactions and remains unobtrusive when not in use. Each pair ships with the Meta Neural band, a wrist-worn device that interprets electrical signals from the wearer’s muscles to control the glasses through subtle hand movements. This electromyography technology enables hands-free navigation and, in future updates, may allow users to write messages using their finger gestures silently.
The glasses are combined with the microphones, speakers, cameras, and the new display into the lightweight 69g frame styled after the Ray-Ban Wayfarer design. Meta also stated that the display achieves over 42 pixels per degree, an industry-leading specification for a device of this size. The Neural Band, available in three dimensions, offers up to 18 hours of battery life and is water resistant to IPX7 standards. Meta emphasises that all raw EMG data is processed on the device, with the only command events transmitted to the glasses. These glasses also include the photochromatic Transitions lenses, with a battery life of up to six hours of mixed use and 30 hours total with the portable charging case. They also come with 5000 nits of peak brightness.
Now, if we discuss the pricing, it would be priced at $799 for both glasses and the band, which could be around Rs 70,000. The Meta Ray-Ban Display launches September 30 in the United States at selected retailers. International availability in Canada, France, Italy, and the UK is slated for early 2026. India’s launch is still unclear from the company itself, so it may take some time to unveil in India.
