New Delhi: It all started with a 35-hour train ride from Patna to Mumbai, a journey that felt more like survival training than travel. Squished into a tiny RAC seat in sleeper class, I learned the value of personal space (and how little of it you can survive on!). Back then, I had just finished my 12th grade. Engineering didn’t work out, and Chartered Accountancy (CA) became my backup plan, mostly because it was affordable, and my sister was already doing it, so I had some guidance.
Moving to Mumbai wasn’t just about a change of address; it was a complete shift in mindset. Coming from a small town to a city that never stops was overwhelming, but it taught me to adapt quickly, stay resilient, and tackle new challenges head-on. Those lessons have stayed with me ever since.
CA might have been a backup plan, but it turned out to be the perfect fit. It gave me the tools I needed to understand finances, handle risks, and figure out what makes businesses tick. These skills became super important when I worked in private equity and now in fintech with Ingood.
During my time in private equity, I learned what it means to manage someone else’s money. Working at a small firm meant I wore many hats, making smart decisions, keeping things efficient, and ensuring compliance. It wasn’t always easy, but it taught me how to think on my feet, create value, and understand what it takes to run a business.
Now, at Ingood, I’m putting those lessons to good use. We’ve built a platform that makes managing money simple. By combining investment and credit management, we help young professionals grow their savings while staying on top of credit card bills. It’s all about making finances less stressful and more rewarding.
But life isn’t just about work. I’ve always been drawn to creative outlets like writing, photography, and filmmaking. At one point, I wanted to be a movie director, but my parents encouraged me to focus on stability first. That creative spark stayed with me, and these hobbies now fuel my storytelling, whether it’s pitching ideas or connecting with people.
Every year, I also try something new, whether it’s adventure sports, fitness challenges, or picking up a new skill. These experiences keep me sharp and help me see problems from a fresh perspective. Plus, they remind me that life is more than just work, it’s about finding balance and enjoying the journey.
Fintech is changing fast, and keeping up is a constant effort. At Ingood, we’re always looking ahead, refining our vision, and staying on top of trends to create the ultimate finance app.
Looking back, every step of the journey, whether it was that train ride, my time in private equity, or starting Ingood, has shaped who I am today. And while I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished so far, I like to think the best is yet to come. With Ingood, the goal is simple: make managing money easy and help people grow their wealth without the stress.
