New Delhi: Zomato co-founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal has launched a new venture called Continue, focusing on health tracking and mental wellness. It is a personal venture for Goyal where he invests his time separate from the company’s business. It was registered in April 2024 under the name Upslove Advisors Private Limited. Goyal owns 99.9% of it, while Ashish Gotal owns the remaining 0.1%. Official documents report that the initial funding for Continue is ₹50 lakhs.
What Is Continue?
Continue.com self-proclaims itself as “The Ultimate Health Tracker,” though it’s not very certain about its services these days. Goyal is the first leader of this project, and other additional directors are Simrandeep Singh and Akriti Mehta who have been working at Zomato for a pretty long time. Continue will be a competitor with Ultrahuman and Mindhouse, both health and wellness platforms.
While the features of health tracker are still unknown, Continue is likely to focus on things like tracking nutrition, monitoring sleep, and preventive healthcare. Goyal has also been interested in health and mental wellness before; he invested in Ultrahuman, a company which is popular for health-tracking devices.
Goyal said in his social media posts that he considers that the Continue team is a health and wellness team, helping him stay at his best. He is excited about the insights this project could bring and hopes eventually to share benefits with a much larger audience.
How does this fit with Zomato?
This foray into health comes even as Zomato looks to grow beyond delivery. Already, the company has ventured into other new fields such as quick commerce with BlinkIt and live events through the purchase of Paytm Insider. Still, though, it remains focused on its core businesses even as other companies like Swiggy eats away at the edges.
Goyal’s new project does raise questions on how he would balance his responsibilities with his work on Continue, but the innovatively developing culture at Zomato makes this likely.
