West Bengal (India), March 8: The COVID-19 pandemic forced many to take unexpected paths. For brothers Samik and Sayan Gupta from West Bengal, the economic hardship brought dreams crashing down. Samik, a geography teacher, saw Sayan’s dream of pursuing an MBA crumble under the financial strain. Sayan was a final-year BCom student.
The brothers, unfazed, decided to take matters into their own hands. They pooled their resources and started small, opening a tea stall in December 2021. A year later, in 2022, their hard work and determination bore fruit when they inaugurated “ChaWala,” a unique fusion tea café in Kanchrapara.
ChaWala’s success took time to come, but its exceptional hospitality and unique tea flavours, such as Butterscotch Fusion and Blue Tea, quickly won the hearts of tea lovers. It offers more than just various teas, like cardamom tea, ginger tea, and chocolate tea, as it also serves delicious breakfasts, exciting snacks, and refreshing coolers.
