New Delhi (India), March 5: Rakshak Foundation trained 30 women in Haldia for Jute Diversified Product Manufacturing supported by Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd. as a part of their CSR projects FY 2023-24
Haldia: Rakshak Foundation, known for its dedication to community development, has conducted comprehensive training sessions focused on jute product manufacturing techniques to 30 aspiring women artisans in Haldia. The program is supported by Haldia Petrochemicals, a leading advocate for women’s empowerment and sustainable development, this initiative aligns with their commitment to creating positive social impact.
A spokesperson from Haldia Petrochemicals expressed their enthusiasm for the project, stating, “We believe in supporting initiatives that empower women and foster economic growth in rural communities. HPL has always been committed towards the holistic development of Haldia and surrounding areas through different projects and activities through years. With this project by providing training and resources, we aim to enable women to become self-reliant and contribute to their families’ livelihoods.”
Chaitali Das from Rakshak Foundation said “The training program not only enhances the skill set of women but also promotes the utilization of jute, a sustainable and eco-friendly jute of Bengal by leveraging local resources and traditional craftsmanship, we wholeheartedly appreciate the support of HPL for the successful project. The finished products will be available in various stores in Kolkata like ‘Jute Story Beyond Bars’ Studio boutique, stores in Army Wives Welfare Association, Mrs Divyani Garg of Mahishadal Rajbari welcomed the jute products to be showcased at the cafe in Mahishadal Rajbari.
