New Delhi (India), February 5: A man from Jaipur reported a significant surge in his Tinder matches after he added “Software Engineer with 5 years of experience” in his Tinder bio. Aman, the Linkedin user, disclosed the findings of his social experiment in a post that’s gaining traction on the platform.
Tinder, an online dating application, allows users to view profiles and indicate interest by “swiping right.” If mutual interest occurs (both users “swipe right” on each other), the app registers it as a match, enabling them to engage in conversation.
Linkedin user, Aman is not an “Engineer” by education and claimed that he changed nothing in his profile except he just added “Software Engineer with 5 years of experience” to his Tinder Bio. He believes that adding Engineer to his bio is the reason he managed to get five matches in a day from tech recruiters.
“Added “Software Engineer with 5 years of experience” in my Tinder Bio.
Got 5 matches from Recruiter, even though I am not an Engineer.” he wrote
He added, “This shows that there are a lot of opportunities for experienced folks even in the time of recession. But for fresh graduates the market is very tough…” See the post here: https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7156990853826129920/
