Making a Difference: IMA Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar President Dr. Yashwant Gade and Secretary Dr. Anupam Takalkar’s Inspiring Endeavors under the National Aao Gaon Chale Initiative
New Delhi (India), June 30: Dhamori Village, Tq Gangapur, District Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) witnessed a momentous day filled with empowerment, awareness, and healthcare initiatives, thanks to the remarkable efforts of IMA Aurangabad President Dr. Yashwant Gade and Hon. Secretary Dr. Anupam Takalkar. Under the esteemed national Aao Gaon Chale initiative, the duo orchestrated a series of impactful events that left a lasting impact on the community.
The installation of a state-of-the-art sanitary napkin vending machine at the Anganwadi of Dhamori village stands as a testament to their commitment towards women’s empowerment. This groundbreaking initiative aims to provide convenient access to sanitary napkins, promoting menstrual hygiene and empowering women in the community.
The community actively participated in the Vyasanmukti Granthadindi campaign and an enlightening Prabhatferi (morning procession) organised by team IMA. These events raised awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco and addiction, emphasizing the benefits of quitting. The impactful street play performed by the talented team from woman doctor’s wing (WDW) further shed light on the importance of overcoming addiction, captivating the audience and leaving a profound impact.
Recognizing the importance of life-saving skills, IMA arranged comprehensive CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) training for the villagers. Equipped with the knowledge and skills required during emergency situations, the community is now prepared to save lives thanks to their inspiring efforts.
The inauguration ceremony for these remarkable initiatives, graced by the esteemed MLA Mr. Prashant Bamb, further highlighted the significance of community-driven endeavors in creating a positive impact.
The Maha Mega Health Camp, organised by IMA, served as the pinnacle of the day. Comprehensive medical treatment and diagnoses were provided to the community, ensuring their well-being. Notably, the camp offered a range of vital tests and treatments, including hemoglobin testing, blood sugar testing, blood pressure testing, vision testing, and the availability of bone density and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) machines. These services were provided free of cost, ensuring that everyone, irrespective of their financial status, received the necessary care.
