New Delhi: Google Play Games for PC has recently expanded its availability to Europe and New Zealand, offering users in these regions the opportunity to play Android games on their Windows computers. The official announcement was made during the annual Google for Game Developers Summit in March. This program was initially introduced in 2022 and has gradually expanded to over 50 countries worldwide.
The current phase of the rollout includes New Zealand and over 40 European countries, such as Austria, Belgium, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Ireland, and the UK. Initially, the program was accessible to players in 13 countries, including Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, and the United States.
To enjoy Google Play Games on PC, users must have a PC running Windows 10 with at least 4 CPU physical cores, 10 GB of available storage on an SSD, an Intel UHD Graphics 630 GPU or a comparable graphics processor, and 8 GB of RAM. It’s important to note that since the program is still in beta, these requirements may change over time as updates and optimizations are made.
As of now, Google Play Games on PC offers a collection of over 100 titles, with new games being added on a monthly basis. Additionally, in March, Google introduced an emulator that enables developers to easily debug their games. Moreover, the company provides integration with Android Studio, a development environment for game-makers, allowing them to make adjustments and deploy their games more efficiently.
With the expansion of Google Play Games for PC to Europe and New Zealand, users in these regions now have access to a wide range of Android games on their Windows computers. Google continues to enhance the program by adding new titles regularly and providing developers with tools to streamline the game development process.
