New Delhi: TechnipFMC, a prominent technology provider in the traditional and new energies industry, has committed a substantial investment of USD 150 million (Rs 1,250 crore) to establish its software Global Delivery Centre and Precision Engineering Manufacturing Facility.
This initiative has been warmly welcomed by Telangana Minister for IT and Industries, K T Rama Rao, who is presently touring the United States to attract investments to the state. According to a tweet by Rao, this development is expected to generate approximately 2,500 employment opportunities in the field of engineering, along with 1,000 jobs in the manufacturing facility.
Expressing his delight, Rao tweeted, “I am pleased to announce that Hyderabad has been chosen by @TechnipFMC, a French-American Oil and Gas giant, as a key hub for their software Global Delivery Center & Precision Engineering Manufacturing Facility, resulting in the creation of 2,500 engineering jobs and 1,000 manufacturing jobs.”
This investment, amounting to over $150 million (Rs 1,250 crore) and with an estimated export value of $650 million (Rs 5,400 crore), represents a significant stride for Hyderabad and serves as a testament to the city’s potential in the industry.
The establishment of TechnipFMC’s software Global Delivery Centre and Precision Engineering Manufacturing Facility will not only contribute to the economic growth of the region but also foster technological advancements in the energy sector. Furthermore, the creation of thousands of job opportunities will enhance the local workforce and boost employment prospects for individuals in the field of engineering and manufacturing.
