New Delhi: Suzlon, a leading provider of renewable energy solutions, has secured a significant contract from Vibrant Energy for a 99-MW wind energy project. The order entails the installation of 33 wind turbine generators from Suzlon’s latest 3 MW series, each equipped with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular tower. The project is slated for commissioning by FY25, although the financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Expressing his enthusiasm, J P Chalasani, the Chief Executive Officer of Suzlon Group, welcomed the partnership with Vibrant Energy, a respected player in the corporate renewable energy sector. He expressed his desire for a long-term collaboration aimed at fostering sustainability in India. The project’s magnitude is noteworthy, as it has the potential to supply electricity to approximately 307,000 households and reduce CO2 emissions by 292,000 tonnes annually, according to a statement from Suzlon.
Srinivasan Viswanathan, the Chief Executive Officer of Vibrant Energy, echoed the sentiment and expressed his satisfaction in joining forces with Suzlon Energy for their venture. The project will enable Vibrant Energy to provide uninterrupted renewable energy to its corporate clientele. This marks the first collaboration between the two companies, and Viswanathan eagerly anticipates pursuing further opportunities together.
This latest contract represents the third order received by Suzlon for its new 3 MW series in under a month. As part of the agreement, Suzlon Energy will not only supply the wind turbines but also provide erection and commissioning services. Additionally, they will offer comprehensive operations and maintenance services after the project is commissioned. The specific wind turbine model included in this order is the S144-140m, an integral component of Suzlon’s larger 3 MW series.
