To enter international markets with vegan, plant-based health supplements
Delhi, May 16: India’s growing vegan health supplement brand Fitspire plans to expand its business to tier 2 and 3 cities on the back of burgeoning demand for plant-based and vegan health supplements in the country. The Delhi-based startup also plans to permeate international markets this year.
Fitspire was founded by IIM Lucknow alumni Vipen Jain, along with co-founders Nidhi Jain and Hinah Sawhney, in 2020. Since its launch, Fitspire has gained popularity as India’s first vegan family health and wellness brand. The startup, which reported a sales growth of 50% in 2020, is now planning to take its success and products across the country and grow at a 35% CAGR for the next five years.
“We plan to continue with our Omni-channel approach and grow through e-commerce channels and our own website. We also want to have a presence in international markets where Vegan product demand is high,” said Vipen, co-founder, Fitspire.
Fitspire is already catering its products to tier 1 city. In a phased manner, the startup is shifting its focus to tier 2 and tier 3 cities like Meerut, Chandigarh, Lucknow and Gwalior.
“Most people in India, whether they are from tier 1, tier 2 or tier 3 cities, are becoming aware of the importance of a healthy diet and lifestyle. Our main focus is to provide the most useful information as well as healthcare supplements that are easily accessible, irrespective of the address,” said Vipen..
In today’s fast-paced lifestyle, nutrition deficiency is a major cause of concern for people. Fitspire was conceptualized to fill this nutritional gap that lingers in the nation. With healthy, plant-based and vegan alternatives to health supplements, Fitspire strives to inspire people to choose a healthier, greener, and more compassionate lifestyle.
“We at Fitspire wanted authentic, 100% vegan , nutrient-dense, allergen-free supplements that delight the senses. Every day our team works to inspire people of all ages to believe in their health and fitness goals, and then fuel them to achieve them. All we believe is that the right nutritional profile has the power to make our life more accomplished, balanced and nourished,” Vipen added.
Fitspire aims to drive the nation towards making nutrition choices that are nutrient-rich, 100% vegan, natural, gluten-free, and free from artificial flavours and preservatives.
“Understanding the current market environment, competition and economy in this new sector has always been crucial for us, especially as we expand as a brand into various other segments. The rationale behind this expansion of business growth isn’t just limited to revenue diversification. We aim to enter new markets for greater brand recognition,” Vipen added.
